The “Canvascollectie” offers new and experienced talent the chance to exhibit in BOZAR in Brussels. It is a cross media project of the VRT and several players in the art world. Starting from Jan 15th 2008, artists are invited to subscribe to the competition. A pre-selection then limits the number of participating works to about 50 per province. This first selection takes place in the musea PMMK, S.M.A.K., MuHKA, Wiels and Z33.

The apotheosis of the “Canvascollection” is an exhibition in the BOZAR (Museum of Fine Arts) in Brussels with 250 creations of professional and non-professional artists, known names and unknown talent. Four of these art works are rewarded prices for a total value of 28.000 euro, and a fifth price is an exclusive exhibition for the winning artist in the KBC-tower in Antwerp.

I will of course be participating in this competition with my work: “Touch“, “Untitled 0601” and a third piece, still to be made.
